Benjamin y Marlen Soria, nacieron ambos en Guatemala.

Benjamin vino a los pies de Cristo a la edad de 9 años y Marlen a la edad de 7. Ambos se conocieron en la iglesia del Nazareno de Puerto Barrios y se casaron en el 2004. A una semana de haberse casado se mudaron a San José, Costa Rica en donde Benjamín se graduó de la maestría en Ciencias de la Religión con Énfasis en la misión de la iglesia y Marlen inició sus estudios teológicos. Al terminar ese año de estudios en Costa Rica, regresaron como misioneros regionales para la Región que en ese entonces era conocida como MAC y sirvieron como misioneros por 5 años en Guatemala y nuevamente en Costa Rica; trabajando en los ministerios de JNI y Evangelismo para jóvenes.

En el 2011 Dios les concedió la inmensa dicha de darles a su primera hija; Madison, quien nació en Denver Colorado; lugar a donde Benjamín y Marlen se habían mudado para pastorear. En el 2011 ambos regresaron a Guatemala a pastorear a la juventud de la iglesia Central de Cobán. En el 2012 la familia se mudó nuevamente a Estados Unidos, esta vez a Kansas, en donde iniciaron una obra hispana en la ciudad de Newton. Fue en ese lugar en donde Dios siguió agrandando la familia y dieron la bienvenida a Mathias quien nació en la ciudad de Wichita, Kansas en el 2015.

Como familia sirvieron por 10 años como pastores generals en Newton, Kansas. Ahí Benjamín se graduó como Doctor en Teología en el Seminario Nazareno Teológico de Kansas City. Marlen está culminando su carrera de Trabajo Social en la Universidad de Wichita State.

La familia Soria ha estado sirviendo como misioneros globales, asignados a Mesoamérica y viviendo en Panamá desde agosto del 2022. Benajmín es el Coordinador Regional de JNI y Marlen es la Coordinadora Regional de Ministerios Infantiles. El lema como familia es servir con amor y gozo a Dios y al prójimo en cualquiera que sea la asignación que Dios les necesite.

Benjamin & Marlen were born in Guatemala.

Benjamin accepted Jesus as his savior at the age of 9 and Marlen at the age of 7.

They met at the Church of the Nazarene in Puerto Barrios, Guatemala and got married in December 2004. A week after their wedding they moved to San Jose, Costa Rica where Benjamin earned his Master in Theology and Marlen begun her theological studies. As soon as the year of studies finished in Costa Rica they went back to Guatemala to serve as regional missionaries for the former MAC Region. They served as missionaries for 5 years in Guatemala and Costa Rica, working in the ministries of NYI and Youth Evangelism.

In 2011 God blessed them with their first child who they named Madison. She was born in Denver, Colorado, the place where Benjamin and Marlen moved back then to pastor. That same year they went back to Guatemala and served as youth pastors in Coban. In 2012 the Sorias' moved back again to the US, this time to Kansas where they started a Spanish ministry in Newton. In 2015 they welcomed with enormous happiness and gratitude their second child Mathias who was born in Wichita, Kansas.

They were Senior Pastors in Newton for 10 years. During this time in Kansas, Benjamin got his Doctorate in Ministry at the Nazarene Theological Seminary in Kansas City and Marlen is about to finish her Social Work Degree in Wichita State University.

They have been serving as global missionaries assigned to Mesoamerica living in Panama since August 2022. Benjamin is the Regional NYI Coordinator and Marlen is the Regional Children Ministries Coordinator. As a family, they are committed to serving the Lord their savior and their neighbors with joy and love in any assignment where God calls them.
