The song “Where He leads me, I will follow . . . and go with Him, with Him, all the way” has never been more pertinent in my life than these last few years. Between the unwanted attention of officials and age limits, I was unable to return to the country and work I have loved for over a decade. When that door closed, I followed His clear leading to the Philippines for a two-year term of teaching English at our seminary there. Earlier in 2026, I thought the door to the north country was reopening only to have it firmly shut again, just as a door to the south sprung open. Again I turned to follow. I am now teaching multiple subjects at the Melanesian Nazarene Bible College, while at the same time keeping in touch with former students in both of the previous countries and supporting them through online resources and encourage>ment. I’m very grateful for the last verse of that song: “He will give you grace and glory. He will give you grace and glory. He will give you grace and glory, and go with you, with you, all the way.” No matter the twists and turns our path takes, I am thankful for the One who goes with us all the way.
