Since 2015, Russell and Carla Frazier have served as Global Missionaries in Nairobi, Kenya at Africa Nazarene University. Russ serves as a senior lecturer in the religion department and Dean of the School of Religion and Christian Ministry. In addition to teaching and supervising postgraduate students, Russ serves as a liaison for the Africa Region to a committee that is developing a French university which will provide education for French-speaking leaders in Africa. Carla serves as an assistant in the finance department.
The Fraziers are no strangers to missions. From 1998 to 2005, they served as missionaries on the Africa Region. They lived in Kigali, Rwanda and served the Great Lakes region of Africa, including the countries of Rwanda, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, and Burundi. Carla administered the Child Sponsorship program in the Great Lakes region and assisted in the administration of the Bible institute. Russ served in a number of different roles: the coordinator of theological education, coordinator of Nazarene Literature, district superintendent, mission coordinator, and assistant to the Field Strategy Coordinator. In 2005, Russ and Carla resigned from the Global Mission contract to return to the States so that Russ could finish the Ph.D. and to provide more options for the education of their children in the English language. However, Africa was deeply imbedded within their hearts.
They are excited to serve the Lord in Kenya at Africa Nazarene University. You can find more about their story at www.frazierministry.com. Russ and Carla would love to share their story with your church. They desire to partner with you and your church in this ministry. The Fraziers have open dates from May 15 to June 30, 2023.
If you would like to have them for a service, please feel free to contact them. They are willing to visit any sized church. They simply want to share our story of God’s leadership in their lives. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact them at jrussellfrazier@ gmail.com.
