The Huanca’s are a couple representing their home nations of Chile and Peru. They are members of the San Ramón Church of the Nazarene in Chile.

David y Ruth Huanca sirven como misioneros globales de la Iglesia del Nazareno,  y actualmente viven en Chile, en la región de América del Sur. David sirve a través de su profesión como coordinador de TI (Tecnologías de la Información), formando parte del equipo de comunicaciones de la región. Allí contribuye mediante el desarrollo de software y la creación de aplicaciones innovadoras al servicio de la misión.  Ruth sirve actualmente como Coordinadora Regional de MNI, y su tarea es promover el compromiso misionero en las iglesias locales, En este rol, también promueve el cuidado y la conexión con los misioneros, y genera espacios para que nuevas generaciones escuchen el llamado de Dios a las misiones. David y Ruth también son parte del equipo nacional de ministerios en Chile.

David es ingeniero informático y ha dedicado más de 20 años al trabajo con jóvenes a través de la Juventud Nazarena Internacional, además ha servido en el área de Comunicaciones a nivel nacional y regional. En 2016 recibió el Premio Timoteo en reconocimiento a su servicio con las nuevas generaciones. Ruth, es una terapeuta ocupacional licenciada, que desde temprana edad se involucró en el discipulado y en ministerios como JNI y Misiones Nazarenas Internacionales, ha servido como coordinadora nacional de MNI y de Movilización misionera. Ambos son parte del Seminario Bíblico Nazareno, y Ruth ha tomado cursos en CFM (Centro de Formación Misionera). Juntos han servido en Perú desde 2018, y en Chile desde 2022, y son padres de 2 niños increíbles que les acompañan en esta aventura misionera:  Lucas y Mateo.

Su ministerio refleja un compromiso sostenido con el desarrollo de líderes, el discipulado y la movilización misionera de la iglesia. Comparten una profunda convicción: servir a Dios donde Él los envíe, utilizando sus dones y profesiones para el avance del evangelio.   Como familia, mantienen un profundo compromiso con el discipulado de las nuevas generaciones, acompañando a jóvenes a descubrir su llamado al servicio del Reino, a través de sus dones, profesiones y habilidades.

David and Ruth Huanca serve as global missionaries of the Church of the Nazarene and currently live in Chile in the South America region. David serves through his profession as an IT (Information Technology) Coordinator on the regional communications team. There, he contributes through software development and the creation of innovative applications in service of the mission. Ruth currently serves as the Regional Coordinator for Nazarene Missions International. Her role is to promote missionary engagement in local churches. In this role, she also encourages the care of and connection with missionaries and creates opportunities for new generations to hear God’s call to missions. David and Ruth are also part of the national ministries team in Chile.

David is a computer engineer who has dedicated more than 20 years to youth ministry through Nazarene Youth International. He has also served in the area of Communications at both the national and regional levels. In 2016, he received the Timothy Award in recognition of his service to younger generations. Ruth is a licensed occupational therapist who, from an early age, became involved in discipleship and ministries such as Nazarene Youth International and Nazarene Missions International. She has served as National Coordinator for NMI and for Missionary Mobilization. Both have studied at the Nazarene Bible Seminary, and Ruth has completed courses at the Missionary Formation Center (CFM). Together, they have served in Peru since 2018 and in Chile since 2022. They are the parents of two wonderful boys, Lucas and Mateo, who accompany them in this missionary journey.

Their ministry reflects a sustained commitment to leadership development, discipleship, and the mobilization of the church for missions. They share a deep conviction: to serve God wherever He sends them, using their gifts and professions for the advancement of the gospel. As a family, they remain deeply committed to discipling new generations, walking alongside young people as they discover their calling to serve in God’s Kingdom through their gifts, professions, and abilities.
