Dr. Addison and Maggie Lucchi are pioneers to the Czech Republic, based out of the Moravian-Silesian city of Ostrava. They have two preschool-aged children. Over the past five years, they have been actively involved in ministry in the Czech Republic, including living in the country for two years and studying Czech language. Addison has taught and served at MidAmerica Nazarene University and the Nazarene Bible College for 9 years, and he speaks the Czech language, which he has also studied academically.
Addison and Maggie are excited to be the first Nazarene presence in the Czech Republic, where their ultimate goal is to spread the love of Jesus through their daily lives. Their specific calling and strategy centers around building long-term relationships, starting storytelling-based discovery Bible study groups, and equipping young people through experiential education. They are connected with opportunities to teach and work with young people across the country, and they often collaborate with local believers to plan storytelling camps, English workshops, and other activities as a means of ministry. They regularly partner with Nazarene universities to lead teams of college students to travel to the Czech Republic for ministry, service, and teaching opportunities.
Together, Addison and Maggie are committed to building trust, serving, and sharing the love of Jesus throughout the Czech Republic. They and their children love to travel, spend time in nature, play board games, engage in stories, and invite others into their home.
