The Nazarene School in Rivas, Nicaragua, has a history stretching back to 1956. Its mission is to welcome children from both within the evangelical community and outside of it, teaching them Christian values, study habits and teamwork, all with the ultimate goal of raising new generations of Christlike disciples. It has always been known for offering high quality education to students and has an excellent reputation in the community.
The school was reopened in 1995, and since then has served thousands of Nicaraguan boys and girls, pointing them to Christ and providing the education they need to reach their God-given potential.
As of 2022, the school serves about 100 students in preschool and primary school. The economic situation of the families in the community is challenging, and it is not uncommon for a child to drop out of school because the family cannot afford it.
This project is designed to reduce the economic barriers to a high-quality education at The Nazarene School by offering $200 scholarships to 50 students annually. That amount includes:
- half of the tuition cost
- uniforms
- shoes
- backpacks
- notebooks
Thank you for your support for kids learning about Jesus, themselves and the world at The Nazarene School!
