As new faith communities are planted across central Europe and as current churches continue to develop and to grow, the Central Europe Field (CEF) is focused upon the goal of ordaining ministers, developing lay ministers and creating a teaching faculty. We are approaching such developments from different angles.
Central Europe Field works with European Nazarene College (EuNC) as the educational provider for the course of study. We have active Learning Centers in several countries: Albania-Kosovo, Bulgaria, Romania, Croatia and Hungary. All the learning centers are actively involved in preparing, equipping, and training future ministers.
The Central Europe Field has also been committed to the translation of materials and books that allow the formation of our future ministers from a Wesleyan-Armenian tradition.
The Field is also starting a collaboration with Nazarene Theological College, Manchester for the formation of indigenous faculty. The accreditation agency for EuNC requires that 51% of course of study is taught in the student’s native language without translation. This urges us to identify people in our Field who have the gifts and the call to teach and to provide avenues to respond to their call. Empowering local ministers is at the heart of our missiology.
