Land has been purchased for the Badagry Church of the Nazarene in Nigeria. Now it's time to begin building! The first step is to build a fence around the property in order to maintain security of the location and materials.
In 2023/2024, the plan is to build a security fence and a two-room structure with a bathroom. The building will be used for a school as well as for other classes.
The ancient Yoruba town of Badagry is located a few kilometers away from the Seme-Benin Republic border. It is a strategic stopover for travelers en-route to Benin, Togo, and Ghana, as well as other countries along the Atlantic coastline. The coastal town has large populations of residents of different faiths, business people, and tourists – attracted by the slave trade historical sites as well as the Atlantic Ocean beach.
The Church is growing in this area. Pastor Mary and Pastor Elijah are pastors of separate congregations connected to this project. One of their congregations meets in a building that is built to hold 20, but has over 200 people attending!
This is a great location for the Church to make Christlike disciples!
