Located in the heart of the Peruvian Amazon, Nuevo Horizonte Seminary serves a diverse student body from indigenous communities and regions throughout the country. As the primary center for theological education in the Amazon, the seminary plays a vital role in preparing pastors, church leaders, and ministry workers to serve across the region. However, many of the campus facilities—including the chapel, classrooms, dormitories, and dining hall—were originally constructed from wood due to limited transportation access in earlier years. The harsh jungle environment, marked by heavy rainfall, humidity, and insects, causes these structures to deteriorate rapidly and creates an ongoing need for maintenance and improvement.

This project seeks to strengthen and expand the seminary’s facilities through the construction of new dormitories for men and women, expansion of the chapel, installation of electrical systems and solar panels, construction of restrooms, development of sports courts for students and the local church, and the creation of a tropical fish laboratory. These improvements will provide safer, more functional, and sustainable facilities for both students and faculty.

The anticipated impact is significant. Enhanced infrastructure will improve the quality of life and learning environment for students, support the seminary’s growing educational programs, and expand its capacity to serve future ministry leaders. In addition, investments in sustainability initiatives such as solar power and agricultural development will help move the seminary toward greater long-term self-sufficiency. By strengthening Nuevo Horizonte Seminary, this project will continue a legacy of training Christlike leaders who will serve indigenous communities and churches throughout the Amazon for generations to come.
