This project seeks to address a significant shortage of Christian literature within the Church of the Nazarene in Papua New Guinea. Many of the Tok Pisin books written by Neville Bartle—highly valued discipleship resources—have been out of print for more than 25 years. Churches, Bible college students, and even sister denominations have expressed strong interest in seeing these titles available again. Key books requested for reprinting include Jisas Bai I Kam Bek (Jesus Will Return), Mekim Prea (Prayer), Wok bilong Holi Spirit (Work of the Holy Spirit), and Pasin Holi (Holiness Lifestyle).
This project will launch the reprinting process by funding an initial print run of approximately 2,000 copies of five titles (about 10,000 books total). The books will be printed overseas, shipped to Papua New Guinea, and distributed through Nazarene PNG Publications and local Christian bookstores such as CBM and Singaut. Sales from this first printing will help fund future reprints, creating a sustainable pathway for making these important resources available for years to come.
By restoring access to these foundational discipleship materials, the project will equip pastors, church leaders, and Bible college students with essential teaching tools in their own language. The hope is that these resources will strengthen the church, deepen spiritual maturity, encourage holy living, and support a renewed commitment to Christ across the Nazarene community in Papua New Guinea. Ultimately, the prayer is that as people read and study these teachings, lives will be transformed by the message of the Gospel.
