Description:

Since 1948, the Church of the Nazarene has been present in the Western Mediterranean, where today it ministers through 45 organized churches, 8 church plants, and 2 restarts across Portugal, Spain, Italy, and France. Though the region is historically Christian, modern-day Western Europe is marked by spiritual disengagement, especially among younger generations.

God is on the move in this mission field, bringing together multicultural, multigenerational congregations with a passion to reach their local communities. Some areas have not made local engagement a priority and are missing the community aspect that is so deeply important. This project aims to train pastors and church leaders with a missionary mindset. Our aim is to teach how to engage and be present in their communities, build meaningful relationships, and help others encounter Jesus in fresh and personal ways. By equipping leaders through learning cohorts and partnerships with Nazarene Compassionate Ministries, we will empower churches to become vital parts of their neighborhoods.

Together, we can support multicultural congregations, launch new ministries, and train local leaders to bring the hope of Christ to their neighborhoods.
