Nexus was launched in 2017, it created in partnership with Nazarene Theological College in Manchester to intentionally invest in the discipleship and development of young people and emerging leaders across the Eurasia Region. The program provides accessible training for those actively serving in youth ministry and for young people gifted in leadership and service.

Nexus gathers youth at the district level, building their confidence, helping them discover their gifts, strengths, and areas for growth, and then empowering them to serve in their local contexts. The results have been transformative: participants have gone on to further studies, stepped into district and field leadership positions, launched businesses, and become community leaders. Nexus has become a vital connection point between young adults, local churches, and district leadership, creating space for mentorship, meaningful conversations, and stronger engagement in ministry.

Beyond training, Nexus functions as a network—linking young leaders across cultures and backgrounds in Nazarene Youth International (NYI). By creating a shared language and unifying approach, it has strengthened connections across the region and inspired greater involvement of youth in local churches.

When we first launched Nexus, it was primarily focused on India and the South Asia Fields, where over 1,400 young people participated. Building on this success, our next step is to expand Nexus to all seven ministry fields over the next two years, while continuing to grow in India and South Asia. Our vision is that local churches and districts will see the impact, invest in their young people, and commit to supporting Nexus in the future.
