The Church of the Nazarene is active in many areas where people are vulnerable to human trafficking. Nazarene Compassionate Ministries (NCM) supports church-led anti-trafficking efforts.
Your Freedom Offering changes lives! On Freedom Sunday, you can give to the Freedom Offering.
By giving to the Freedom Offering, you are choosing to support church-led ministries offering hope and freedom to survivors of human trafficking, as well as the prevention of trafficking of at-risk youth and children. Nazarene Compassionate Ministries currently supports ministries that include:
FUELING HOPE AT A TEXAS SHELTER
In Texas, a new Nazarene-run emergency shelter provides a safe, hope-filled space for survivors of human trafficking. The shelter provides practical ministry through prayer, presence, food, clothing, planning, and more.
ASSESSMENT IN THE PHILIPPINES
In the Philippines, a short-term, residential assessment center is providing a safe place for children who are rescued from online sexual exploitation. There, children receive counseling, support, and help finding a safe, permanent home.
PREVENTION THROUGH EDUCATION
Nazarene child development programs are helping prevent human trafficking by training guardians and families. Topics include knowing the signs, common myths, online safety guidelines, what to do if you suspect something, and others.
SPONSORSHIP OPPORTUNITY
You can sponsor a child in an area where children are at higher risk for human trafficking, including the Philippines, India, South Africa, Nepal, Romania, Ukraine, and Madagascar.
