Melanesia Nazarene Bible College (MNBC) and Nazarene College of Nursing (NCON) are Higher Education Institutions established to train, equip, and empower young men and women who wish to become pastors, nurses and leaders for the Church in Papua New Guinea and beyond.

They serve 22 Provinces and 17 Districts of the Church and five Pioneer Mission Areas. MNBC, in partnership with the 17 Districts in PNG, also establishes Extension Bible Schools in remote places in the country to help with the ongoing training, equipping and empowering of anyone who wishes to receive pastoral training.

Melanesian Nazarene Teacher’s Training College, which shares the site with MNBC, benefits both teacher upskilling and connectivity through video conference classroom capabilities. While educators in this institution are trained in teaching, they do not have a background in Nazarene education and ethos, nor do they know the unique nature of Nazarene Higher Education. It is important to bring all three institutions to a full understanding of mission and purpose as we navigate toward each becoming a department within a global Nazarene University for Papua New Guinea.

As the demand for training, equipping, and empowering pastors, nurses, and leaders increases, there is a pressing need for computers for their students to use. Infrastructure to support a student information system, and internet connectivity for online resources. With staff receiving training via Zoom from Dr. Bob Woodruff and other Nazarene institutions it is essential to strengthen our holiness doctrine and to provide teacher development so that these staff members can be allies for the bible college students and nurses they educate.
