Hola! We are Jim and Angela Domroes. Along with our children J.J. and Gracie, we are excited about going 7,500 miles away from home on our missionary journey. Join us as we reach out to the people of Paraguay with the love and hope of Jesus! Although outside our comfort zone, we are following God’s call because we believe that the mission Jesus gave all believers, to make disciples around the world, is urgent!

I (Jim) was born in Buffalo, NY and graduated as an Engineer. As a process improvement specialist, I hope to help bring administrative excellence to the education of local pastors and to assist in church planting. With God’s help, we hope to equip lay people of Paraguay to actively share the Gospel and their story of how God has worked in their lives.

I am a licensed District Pastor and Bible teacher. With my wife as ministry partner, we have participated in a number of short term mission trips to Central and South America, and the Caribbean. We have been sharing the beautiful love story of Jesus with people in hospitals and prisons through worship and Bible studies. In our home church, we began simultaneous interpretation from English to Spanish of the Sunday service and we also started a bilingual Bible study. Now with the COVID-19 situation God has enlarged our borders bringing people from 3 different countries to join us through virtual meetings.

I (Angela) was born and raised in Bogota, Colombia in a non-Christian family. I moved to the United States in 2002 to pursue a Master’s Degree but little did I know, that God in his mercy, was orchestrating the encounter with the Master and lover of my soul: JESUS. What a joy!

I have the privilege of being a Local Minister in the Nazarene church in Virginia. My professional career as a Court and medical interpreter of Spanish has been a platform God has used to reach people with the Gospel.

Both J.J. and Gracie love math, engineering, different cultures. Even though they know that they will miss their friends and familiar life, they are conscious that people need Jesus and that as a family we must obey our call to Paraguay.

Yo (Jim) nací en Buffalo, Nueva York y me gradué como Ingeniero. Como especialista en el mejoramiento de procesos, espero ayudar a brindar excelencia administrativa a la educación de los pastores locales y ayudar en la plantación de iglesias. Con la ayuda de Dios, esperamos equipar a los miembros de la iglesia en Paraguay para compartir activamente el Evangelio y su historia personal de cómo Dios ha trabajado en sus vidas.
Yo soy Pastor de Distrito y maestro de la Biblia. Con mi esposa, quien es mi compañera en el ministerio, hemos participado en varios viajes misioneros a corto plazo a Centroamérica, Sudamérica y el Caribe. Hemos estado compartiendo la hermosa historia de amor de Jesús con muchas personas en hospitales y prisiones a través de la adoración y de los estudios bíblicos. En nuestra iglesia local, fundamos el ministerio de interpretación simultánea del inglés al español del servicio de los domingos y también abrimos un estudio Bíblico bilingüe. Ahora, con la situación del CORONAVIRUS, Dios ha ampliado nuestras fronteras y nuevas personas de 3 países diferentes se han unido a estos estudios a través de reuniones virtuales. ¡Gloria a Dios!
Yo (Angela) nací y crecí en Bogotá, Colombia, en una familia que no era Cristiana. Me mudé a los Estados Unidos en el año 2002 para obtener una Maestría – al menos eso era lo que yo creía- pero Dios, en su misericordia estaba era guiándome al encuentro con el Maestro y amante de mi alma: JESÚS. ¡Que dicha!
Tengo el privilegio de ser Ministro local en la iglesia Nazarena de Virginia. Mi carrera profesional como Intérprete de español en el ámbito legal y medico ha sido una plataforma que Dios ha usado para llegar a las personas con el Evangelio.
Nuestros niños J.J. y Gracie aman las matemáticas, la ingeniería, y les gusta conocer diferentes culturas. A pesar de que saben que extrañarán a sus amigos y la vida a la que están acostumbrados, ellos son conscientes de que las personas necesitan a Jesús y que como familia debemos obedecer nuestro llamado al Paraguay.
Ahora que conoces a nuestra familia, ¿podrías por favor acompañarnos en este viaje orando por nosotros? La oración mueve montañas porque nada es imposible para Dios. Oramos para que el Espíritu Santo continúe tocando tu corazón para obedecer Sus planes para tu vida, y también para la difusión del Evangelio por todo el mundo. ¡Lo mejor está por venir! ¡Que Dios te bendiga!
