Mark and Jazz have been serving the Southeast Asia (SEA) Field since August 2021. Mark serves as chancellor of Chapman International College (CIC) while Jazz serves the field as a District Development Coordinator and Field Secretary. Their call to mission can be traced back to their college days. They originally planned to do cross-cultural missions after their theological preparation, and retire as volunteer teachers at the Philippine Nazarene College. However, God had another plan. They were first involved in different ministries in the Philippines for 27 years until they attended a regional conference in Chiangmai Thailand in October 2019. In one of the services, they finally responded to the call of cross-cultural mission. On August 10, 2021, they arrived in Bangkok, Thailand to finally serve the Lord in the South East Asia Field.
Chapman International College (CIC) is the only Nazarene college that serves the South East Asia Field (Myanmar, Thailand, Cambodia and CAA 3 and 10). CIC has 3 campuses and more than 40 centers in the whole field. It serves more than 500 students of which half of them are from Myanmar. CIC has graduated hundreds of students that are now in ministry. Men and women are continually being trained and discipled through Chapman International College to prepare them for ministry. Most of CIC's students are actively involved in ministry while studying. This helps them to immediately put into practice what they are learning in the classroom.
Mark and Jazz are blessed with two adult children. Josiah Kent, an IT graduate and works in the Philippines, and Maeve Lane, a senior biology student at Point Loma Nazarene University.
