Taiwan is home to 24 million people, many of whom live along the western coastal regions. Only 3% claim Christianity as their religion, and many are still untouched by the Gospel. The Church of the Nazarene has had a strong presence in the population centers and major cities for many decades, but there are still more areas where the church is not yet. The Taiwan East Coast Mission seeks to join in God's mission to these harvest fields along Taiwan's East Coast.

As God is calling his church into these new cities, we seek to establish community centers in main cities of the East Coast (Yilan, Hualien, and Keelung) as a multi-phase strategy to preach Jesus where he has not yet been preached. Starting in one city, this community center will be a multi-purpose facility that will host a variety of activities such as English teaching, sports events, and camps. Each activity is an opportunity to connect with people in our community. Through these relationships, we seek to share the Gospel in word and deed, gather new believers into Bible studies, and establish new churches.

In addition, the East Coast Mission will equip Taiwanese disciple-makers to minister with the missionary team. As we minister together in this new harvest field, Taiwanese ministers will be trained to continue the work of making disciples in this nation and beyond. The ultimate goal of the Outreach Center, local staff, and missionaries is to build relationships through which the transforming Gospel of Jesus can change hearts and communities and create a foundation of disciple-making for the the Church of the Nazarene on the East Coast of Taiwan.

The budgeted need for this project is $50,000, which will cover the expenses for 3 years - 2024-2026. Will you help to financially support facility rental, staffing needs and other necessities to help the East Coast Mission reach their neighbors with the hope of Jesus?
