Adam and Emily Deckard are missionaries currently serving on the Central Europe Field, supporting local church plants in and around the capital city of Albania. Adam is originally from Richmond, Indiana and attended Olivet Nazarene University where he received his BA in Christian Education with a focus in Youth Ministry, as well as his Master’s Degree in Family Ministry. Emily is originally from Buffalo, New York and also grew up in St. Louis, Missouri. She also attended Olivet Nazarene University where she received her BM in Music Education.
Before joining the Central Europe Field, Adam and Emily have served in Michigan, Colorado, and Missouri. Adam was ordained as an Elder in the Church of the Nazarene in 2024 and is a former Youth Pastor and Associate Pastor. Emily has served in churches as both a volunteer and staff worship leader, discipleship group & youth ministry leader, and has also taught music in both public schools and private music settings.
The Deckards are passionate about cross-cultural engagement, meeting the needs of others through compassionate ministry, and sharing the love of God and His story through relational ministry (especially over a cup of coffee).
As a family, the Deckards enjoy being outdoors & traveling together, making music, inviting friends around their dinner table to share homemade meals, reading books, and playing board games. Silas (born 2022) loves everything about planes, trains, and automobiles. Junia (born 2023) loves crafts, especially stickers, and playing with friends and her big brother.
The Deckards are excited about what God is doing in Albania and are eager to continue their service to the Lord through missions work on the Central Europe Field.
