For years, the USA/Canada Region has not had dedicated leadership for Children’s Ministry which has contributed to the declining engagement among the youngest members of the church. Equip to Engage, led by Trey and Candice Brooks, is stepping into this critical gap. Through dynamic leadership, resource development, and regional events, this initiative is rekindling excitement for children’s ministry across the denomination.

This project seeks to empower local churches with tools that inspire, equip, and disciple children. Raising up a new generation of Christ-followers who are rooted in prayer, calling, and gospel-centered mission.

With your support, funding will make possible:

• Creation of child-friendly resources for the Half-Million Mobilization prayer initiative (Easter to Pentecost)
• Development of sermon-aligned curriculum to help children engage with the message of the local church
• Participation in strategic Nazarene conferences to equip and network children’s ministry leaders
• Launch of a new Preteen Event leading up to Nazarene Youth Conference (NYC), introducing middle schoolers to deep biblical teaching and their call to mission

Through Equip to Engage, we anticipate a transformative impact on children’s spiritual formation and church engagement. As children are invited into a deeper understanding of prayer and evangelism, they will take an active role in the life of the church—learning not just about faith, but how to live it out. Churches will experience strengthened intergenerational discipleship as children’s ministries align with broader congregational initiatives, fostering unity and shared spiritual growth. Ultimately, this investment will help nurture a generation of young believers who are equipped, confident in their identity in Christ, and ready to respond to God’s calling in their lives.
