This project is designed to help with repairs to the Corozal Nazarene Primary School in Corozal, Belize.
The primary school started 1958 with elementary school and then in 2020 the preschool opened the doors to serve the community. This school serves not just the Nazarene families of Corozal but the whole community since it is under the public education system.
The two buildings, one built in the late 1970's and the other in early 2000's, have a total of 9 classrooms to host 121 children as they learn and grow.
The facilities have some needs in order to provide an adequate educational spaces, giving the students a safe place to learn and play. Those needs include:
- Tile work
- Plumbing
- Electrical wiring
- Window and door repairs
- Adding a back fence to the property
- Adding a small shed
The government contributes by paying the teachers but the facility responsibility falls under the church to maintain and to improve.
Despite these challenges, the church is still serving the Corozal community through this local school.
The cost for the all of the updates and repairs is estimated to be $30,000 USD. District leaders have committed $1,000. Will you help to close the remaining financial need?
Thank you for joining the brothers and sisters in Corozal to serve the children of their neighborhood by helping to fix their school building!
