The Africa East Field has invited children’s ministry coordinators from across the field, including Ethiopia, Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, Burundi and Rwanda, to bond and share hands on, practical, innovative ideas to nurture our youngest disciples. They have done that since 2015 through the annual Children’s Ministry Coordinators Conference. The effects of these yearly conferences have been far reaching! They have inspired district directors to organize similar conferences at the district level, implementing what they have gathered from the trainings to reach many emerging Sunday School teachers.

The conference was held virtually in 2020, 2021, and 2021 due to pandemic restrictions, but the feedback from participants is they prefer to meet in person when it is safe to do so. Many of the leaders were unable to connect online and were not able to benefit from the virtual conference in the same way.

As a result, the Africa East Field leaders are excited to share that the 2023 conference will be hosted in person! This project will help to support the costs of the event, including travel, meals and accommodations.
