Leadership development is a very important part of ministry. As we continue our ministry on the West Mediterranean Field and in particular, France we see the importance of continued and further development in those whom we are intentionally investing in. As we have been focusing on enlarging the circle; we are experiencing healthy fruit as a result of the investment in key people over the last decade who have become integral leaders on our district. We feel that we are poised to see greater strides in healthy development as a district and believe that increasing opportunity to participate in various training, conferences, classes, and development events will yield greater/more fruit.

None of our ministers or lay persons serving in ministry receive a salary for their contribution to the continued development of the church in France. While this project does not seek to provide a salary support for those individuals, it does seek to make the opportunities for training little more possible. The ability to attend and participate in the enriching and faith deepening activities for those already serving and interested in serving the church make these events better attended. We are seeking to enable a larger number of current and potential leaders, both lay and clergy, to participate in further training opportunities and connection events on the France district, the Western Mediterranean Field, the Eurasia Region, and through the global ministry of the Church of the Nazarene.

We have created a 5-year, $15,000 annual plan to assist in such things as:
“Venue rentals”: for District/NYI camps (150-200), District celebration event (300+), leadership retreats (40-50)
“Registration fees”: for conference participation, mentorship seminars, training events in country and on field/region
“Transportation”: to assist in subsidizing costs to participate in district, field, regional, and global events
“Tuition Scholarships”: to assist in subsidizing cost of informal and formal education of lay and clergy leaders
“Training materials”: as effective resources in hand or available online i.e. pamphlets, booklets, websites, video production
“Media equipment”: purchase of projector, screen, and mobile sound equipment for in person training events on France district.
