In 2017, we stepped into Sevan City with a simple but powerful mission—bringing hope to children through VBS and kids' camps. In a place with few opportunities for young people, these camps were met with overwhelming joy, laying the foundation for something greater. Year after year, we cultivated a community of believers, pouring into the lives of children, youth, and families. And on December 8, 2024, our prayers became reality—the Church of the Nazarene in Sevan City was officially born!

Today, our church is thriving with a passionate group of young people and women eager to grow deeper in faith. The momentum is undeniable, but there’s one major challenge holding us back—we need a permanent home. Right now, we meet in a small rented apartment, a space that simply cannot sustain the vision God has given us. In Sevan’s culture, an apartment church is not seen as legitimate, and many families are hesitant to send their children. Without a dedicated church building, our ability to reach the community is limited.

We have found the perfect property, located right where most of our church members live and directly next to the high school that has been incredibly open to us. This property isn’t just a building—it’s a launchpad for ministry. A place where children, youth, and parents can belong, grow, and be discipled. A place where Christlike leaders are formed and sent out to impact the 10 surrounding villages and beyond, reaching into Dilijan, Ijivan, and the Tavush region.

This is more than a building—it’s a beacon of light in a strategic mission field. Sevan is a city with untapped potential, a gateway to surrounding regions, and a place where the Gospel can take deep root. With a permanent church home, we will finally be able to grow, disciple, and send out believers who will carry the light of Christ wherever they go.

Our ministry goals with this new church building:

• A vibrant children’s ministry, where kids are welcomed into a space made just for them.
• A thriving youth group, no longer restricted by cultural barriers, but free to meet, worship, and grow.
• A ministry center where families find community, where the lost are found, and where faith flourishes.
• A ripple effect, as every disciple raised here carries the Gospel to new places, multiplying the impact.
