The Church of the Nazarene in Mozambique continues to experience rapid growth, praise the Lord! This blessing brings enormous challenges to keep up with educating and training enough pastors to be well-prepared to lead these new churches. Many pastors have received very little formal education, and many are not literate.

Milange is the largest district in Mozambique and one of the largest in the Africa Region with 325 churches and more than 45,000 members. The development of leaders is crucial for the effectiveness in the mission of Jesus.

The construction of this leadership training centre in Mozambique will enable pastors, widows, young girls and child-headed families to receive training. The leadership training centre in Milange will also serve lay pastors from the centre and northern region of Mozambique. In the next five years they intend to train more than a thousand pastors.

In addition to a diploma in theology and ministry, the pastoral training centre will provide vocational training such as livestock farming, electricity, carpentry, locksmith, sewing, and embroidery for pastors and their families to earn a living through skill development.

The project occupies 480 m2, and it is under phase 2 of construction, which includes building 26 bedrooms, a dining hall and storerooms. The goal is to complete Phase 2 by the end of 2022.
