The Queenstown Church in Georgetown, Guyana, has worshiped in the same building since 1945. This lovely structure has welcomed believers for nearly 80 years, including district events like district assemblies. The location in the city makes it easily accessible. It was the home of a day care center that served many families in the community, but the state of the building made it necessary to discontinue that ministry. The level of disrepair has brought about security issues as well.
This project is to support the renovation of the Queenstown Church building, in collaboration with the funds raised by both the local church and district. Renovations will allow this group of brothers and sisters to serve their community more effectively. One example is their desire to serve the many Spanish-speaking people now living in the community. It would also make it possible to use this facility once again for larger district events.
Leaders of are seeking partners to help raise $30,000 to add to the financial commitments of both the local church and the district. Will you be one of those people?
