For nearly 20 years, Sweet Surrender Cafe has been more than just a coffee shop—it’s been a sanctuary of hope and healing in Poznan, Poland. Originally founded by Nazarene missionaries, the cafe has become a vital support center, particularly for Ukrainian refugees seeking safety, community, and restoration.
While operating as a self-sustaining cafe, Sweet Surrender offers programs like Polish language classes, art therapy, women’s fellowship, and children’s activities—helping refugees heal from trauma, rebuild their lives, and find belonging. More than that, the cafe is planting the seeds for a local Church of the Nazarene, fostering spiritual growth and community transformation.
The café’s annual budget is $138,500, covering essential costs like:
- Staff salaries – Ensuring dedicated workers can serve and mentor, and minister to those they serve.
- Food & coffee supplies – Keeping the cafe running as a welcoming gathering place.
- Utilities & occupancy – Maintaining a safe and comfortable space.
- Programs & outreach – Providing life-changing support for refugees and the local community.
Sweet Surrender Café is a beacon of hope. Our goal is to achieve full financial sustainability through the revenue of the café, but we need partners like you to help bridge the gap and ensure these vital services will continue years from now.
Join us in demonstrating Christ’s love through action, and be a part of something that is truly life-changing.
