The District owns a piece of land in Nyamisindo, which has previously been leased out for farming. However, the District Board has now decided to launch a tree planting project—a sustainable initiative that will generate long-term income to support district ministries and community development.
This project aims to provide financial support for various district ministries while also addressing a critical need within our churches: access to roofing timbers for church construction. By growing our own timber, we will reduce reliance on external sources and ensure a steady supply of materials, fostering confidence and unity within our district and the surrounding community.
Project Implementation:
• Volunteers will prepare the land, ensuring it is ready for planting.
• Timely hole-digging and planting will be planned according to the best seasons.
• Dedicated caretakers will maintain and nurture the tree plantation to ensure healthy growth.
This initiative is more than just a project—it is a long-term investment in the future of our district, ministries, and churches. Through careful planning and dedicated teamwork, we believe this project will bring lasting benefits to our community for generations to come.
