This is my first ever mission assignment!
I grew up in Mount Vernon, Ohio and accepted Jesus Christ as my personal Lord and Savior at family prayer time when I was young. My immediate and extended family have played an instrumental part in fostering my faith.
I have attended Mount Vernon First Church of the Nazarene for my whole life and I love to engage in ministries with my church family. Childrens’ Ministries have always held a special place in my heart. I love to help children grow in their faith and I started volunteering in Childrens’ Ministries as soon as I was too old to participate in the ministries myself. In addition to Children’s Ministry, I love to serve on the Womens’ Ministry team and play my trumpet in the church orchestra. Twice a week, I help tutor elementary school age children in an ESL ministry named ¡HOLA! and I also volunteer in a third space youth ministry named The Escape Zone. Serving others has helped me deepen my relationship with God.
I always have felt a deep connection to missions, however, I never truly felt called to missions myself until after college. When God first called me to global missions, I had never even traveled on a plane before, let alone out of the country. I was so excited about my calling to missions I decided to go on my church’s next Work and Witness trips no matter where in the world they would travel. In early 2019, I had the absolute pleasure of serving with the North Central Ohio district in Nairobi, Kenya and in early 2020 in Muelle, Costa Rica. God deepened His calling for missions in my life through Work and Witness.
I am humbled to be able to serve God in Riga, Latvia on a ninety day mission assignment. When I am in Latvia, I will be working with Olga Druzhinina and Aleksei Shipovalov in Childrens’ Ministries. I will be sure to stay flexible and listen to what God has in store for me and Latvia’s new Nazarene Ministries.
Thank you for praying for me as I follow God’s calling in my life!
