This community development project in Benin has the dual benefit of advancing the community and also supporting the local missionaries working in the Sahel corridor. The local chief donated 100 hectares of land for the church to develop several years ago, and the pastor of the local church is dedicated to seeing this work advance. The church has been working on this property since 2016 and has seen slow but steady progress.
This project is to help fund some critical advances in order to improve the agricultural production.
The property requires a deep well with a tower, which costs approximately $12,500 USD. This will guarantee that the crops do not die during the dry season and provide steady water source for the project.
The second large need is a tractor for the farm. In order to plow the large areas and cultivate the farm beyond the local work force this tractor will provide what is needed for regular development on such a large farm. It will also help in delivery of produce to the local markets, offer options for a variety of crop rotations and other benefits to the growth of this farm into a commercial operation able to support and provide support for local missionaries in the Sahel region.
The cost of the tractor in the local market is $15,000 USD. Being able to help this community that has already begun a good work but just needs some help in expanding will truly encourage the people and produce a great harvest for the kingdom.
Will you be a part of this practical project that helps to fund the expansion of the church in the Sahel corridor and benefits the economy of the local community?
