In order to advance the kingdom of God in the Sahel, the need for evangelism, holistic discipleship and the biblical cultivation of children remains a priority. Biblical literature is becoming increasingly scarce in the Sahel. Several initiatives to train children and provide them with an adequate framework for their culture and knowledge of the Bible have not been successful due to the lack of support for the study of the Word of God in the communities concerned.
This need has led us to consider the acquisition of Biblical literature to help these children in their spiritual growth. It goes without saying that the key element of this need remains the Bible, in particular one which relates specifically to children, or a "Children's Bible." However, this strategy will be more effective if these Bibles are accompanied by items such as toys and soccer balls, to fully address the holistic development of these children. It is for this reason that this project would hand out Bibles and soccer balls to each child they reach.
Soccer balls give ministers a connection to the children in their community; Bibles give each child the chance to grow deeper in a relationship with Jesus Christ. Partnering with this approach means bringing children, in particular, and communities, in general, closer to each other and to Christ as the church grows.
