The Eurasia Region spans a vast swath of the globe encompassing a multiplicity of countries, cultures, languages, social and economic situations. It is a high priority to have each of these people groups represented as our global family makes important decsions at General Assembly and Global Conventions.

Barriers to representation are wide-ranging and include political situations, travel visa appointments, etc. However, money should not be a barrier.

Each delegate is expected to invest financially in their own participation. Additionally, districts and local churches are encouraged to help delegates as they are able. Still, the costs of international travel are very high. Delegates may face a variety of financial needs, including ground and air transportation, expenses such as food while traveling, payment for visas, or passport processing.

This project is to help delegates overcome the financial barriers to attending the General Assembly and Global Conventions that will be held in Indianapolis, Indiana, USA in June 2023.

Funding priority will be given to areas of new work and active Phase 1 Districts, then Phase 2 Districts working towards self-sufficiency. Additionally, funds will be invested in new leaders in order to fill the leadership pipeline, assuring a continuity of efforts for years to come. Of the 340 delegates registered to attend, 72% are from districts that fall within these categories. Of those 340 delegates, 54% (183) are from countries where the average airline ticket is $2,467 USD.

Even just helping that limited group with 10% of their airfare would cost $45,201.

Financial assistance will be assigned to individuals on a case-by-case basis based on input from Field Strategy Coordinators with oversight by regional leadership.
