The three PhD programs of Asia-Pacific Nazarene Theological Seminary (APNTS) have been substantially supported by donations since 2014, providing office equipment, office furnishings, and office supplies not normally in the overall department budget.
The three programs (PhD in Holistic Child Development, in Transformational Learning, and Transformational Development), attract student from all around the world. In 2022, there were 70 students enrolled in these programs. Many of them have special needs, such as students who currently cannot return to their country because of armed conflict there. Others face emergency medical needs or crises because of situations of vulnerability.
This project is primarily focused on supporting the needs of the Transformational Development program, as the newest of the three programs. It applies Wesleyan-Holiness theology to practical contemporary issues in both the church and secular world. It is unique in that it requires students to engage in community development with the costs and risks involved. This project also supports other costs, including textbook purchases for professors, field trips and field immersion experiences required in seminars, recruiting expenses, and other necessary expenses for the program.
Your gift will help to support this innovative program and prepare students to make a transformational difference in the world.
Estimated annual cost: $12,000.
