The Center of Missionary Formation in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, has been a project that continues to evolve. Its mission is to serve as a place to develop and train new Nazarene missionaries, particularly in the Mesoamerica region. The facilities are already being used even as the renovations and construction continues on the remaining structures. It has already proven to be a significant resource for the Nazarene Campground where it is currently located.

Two buildings have been completed refurbished over the past few years. The first is a “home” that has dormitory style housing with beds and bathrooms for up to 25 people. The second is the library and training center which has capacity to hold up to 60 people currently, as well as providing needed meeting space and bookshelves for books.

The buildings are shared spaces, not for exclusive use of missionaries only. Renting the housing space for small retreats and meetings has been a source of income as a result of the partnership with the Nazarene Campgrounds.

The Center of Missionary Formation is continuing to grow with a vision to host a global missionary training for 60 people in 2023. In order to have enough space for larger training sessions, the current projects as of late 2022 are refurbishing the existing dorm room structures, which entail:
- redoing flooring
- gutting bathrooms
- construction of new bunk beds
- purchase of new mattress
- re-doing plumbing and electric work
- installing fans and/or air conditioning units.

We invite you to participate in the global ministry of the Church of the Nazarene through your engagement with the Center of Missionary Formation. Every missionary that is trained in the Center of Missionary Formation will be empowered to make dozens, if not hundreds, of Christlike disciples in the nations.
